This week I'd invite you to take some time out for self reflection and consider the following question: When did you last revisit the larger picture of your life? I look forward to hearing more about each of you. Heidi

What do you hope to get out of being a member of this site?
Information, inspiration, support, camaraderie, experiences, networking,
Who do you think is the most inspirational woman you know or know of and why?
It changes! But today... Sylvia Marina.
She is balanced, centred, calming and true to herself.
She has created herself into a successful life and business.
About Me:
I, Heidi Cornelissen believe in people. And their ability to become real and true to themselves.
My concepts and beliefs in Wholeness and Wellness have developed in accordance with my personal life journey. My life was focussed on the sedentary academic arena, until reaching a point where I felt and realised ‘enough was enough’ and I needed to create change in order for my life to change
The process of rediscovering ‘me’ started with physical exercise.
To this day, I still believe exercise is a good way to learn about yourself. It can develop, expand and assist you with getting in tune with yourself and your physicality. (Sometimes your spiritually as well - after a gruelling ultra marathon for example!)
But I learnt as well, that once again not one thing alone can fulfil my life. I forfeited many major events due to injury and/or sickness and had to look elsewhere for “me”. The journey inside is often the hardest run of our lives.
This led me to coaching and an inspiring journey to learn where to look for myself. Also to learn how to look after myself. I learnt to define what I want; what I don’t want; where I want to be; how I want it; why I want it.
Looking at my life and a variety of other people like me I decided to follow this passion for personal and physical development and together with Helen Human, started Completely Human.
Completely Human’s mission statement is to facilitate your individual journey to discovering how to be the perfect and unique you. We believe in the perfection and individuality of you and believe that all answers and happiness lie within you.

I spent fifteen years in the Business and Corporate world after completing a B Comm (Accounting) and whilst completing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). I consider myself able to have a balanced outlook now as a Wellness Coach, having studied through the Life Coaching Institute, Australia as well as the Personal Training Academy for Personal Training. I am a member of BNI, Australia as well as the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I also hold the position of Treasurer of the James Crofts Hope Foundation in Perth. It is a licensed and registered charity, dedicated to assist brain tumour sufferers in Australia and to support their carers and families.

It is never too late to be what you might have been

Lift Your Life!!

I’m currently Feng Shui’ing my house (in small DIY chunks that I understand).
I’ve shifted some furniture around (slightly) and moved items of certain colours into specific areas. It’s amazing how different I feel with just that! The environment feels “lifted” somehow.

We’ve only being in this home for 4 months, but in some ways I’ve gotten so used to things being where they are. Already. It’s as though our things are taken for granted and hence stagnated in some way.

It made me wonder in what… Continue

Speak Up for Yourself!

As coaches, we’re trained to listen out for the language people use when they talk. It’s reflective of their state of mind.

Perhaps you’re unaware of how you speak? And therefore of how you feel and what you believe?

As a first step become conscious of that continuous voice in your head. Hear the words it uses when talking (internally and externally).

How often do you use the word “they”, or “everyone” instead of “I”?
How often do you use the word “should” or “must” instead of “want”?

For ex… Continue

How Does Your Bread Rise?

How much time do you spend worrying?

What is your worry?
Finances? Your Relationships? Your children? Your Future?

What is it that you’re holding onto?

It’s tiring and energy-consuming to hold onto things you’ve created. You may have seen the email joke which involves clicking on a specific area of the screen, only to have it dart away as soon as your mouse hovers over it? The frustration is the moment you attempt to click on it – it disappears!

The same is true of life; the more you chase a… Continue

Find Your Personal Peacock

I saw a peacock today!
Yes – I’m quite excited. I haven’t seen one for many years.

What really makes me proud is that I was on my way to an appointment. Fearing I’d be late, my foot got heavier and my speedometer increased and I felt myself becoming anxious.

Luckily, because I already have a ticket on my desk at home, I pulled back and decided to keep within the speed limit.
And that’s when I saw it!

Of course being the analytical air sign that I am, I looked up the meaning of a peacock. And… Continue

How Free Are You?

So often I hear “After all, we’re only human” or “That’s fine, you’re just human.”
You’ve probably said it yourself as a placating remark to console the “human” you’re talking to at the time.

But what are you really saying?
Is this a sense somehow of forgiving others (and yourself!) for being human? (i.e. for being yourself?)
Surely this is not necessary?

Therefore, do these words reflect an underlying belief that Jane’s (for example) behaviour is not really acceptable, but rather understandab… Continue

Hi Heidi,
Climbing Mont Kilimanjaro was the most challenging thing I have ever undertaken.
It was incredibly BRUTAL on the final ascent to the top, however, absolutely BEAUTIFUL standing on top seeing the sun rise over the curvature of the earth with the African countryside almost 6kms below.
The sense of achievement and fulfilment was outstanding and all in aid of the Breast Cancer Fondation of WA. An extremely enriching feeling.

Hi Heidi
Just thought I'd pop past and say Hi. It's been a bit frenetic here in Perth, so sorry I've been a bit absent.
What's happening in your world?

Thanks Hayley. I watched the video. One of the first steps indeed is giving ourselves permission to be ourselves. Our best selves. A big, liberating, yet difficult step!

I was just thinking, Heidi, possibly a good intro to me would be to watch the video on my page about the Kaleidoscope Effect, as it will give you my heart.

Having read your bio, I can tell that we are in the same head space, as Completely human's mission statement is very similar to my own in my program the Kaleidoscope Effect. We must have a chat sometime, Heidi, as I am always saying to people that you can only be asked to be a master of yourself, your unique being.
Looking forward to dialoguing with you.
Regards
Hayley
