How much time do you spend worrying?
What is your worry?
Finances? Your Relationships? Your children? Your Future?
What is it that you’re holding onto?
It’s tiring and energy-consuming to hold onto things you’ve created. You may have seen the email joke which involves clicking on a specific area of the screen, only to have it dart away as soon as your mouse hovers over it? The frustration is the moment you attempt to click on it – it disappears!
The same is true of life; the more you chase a…

I saw a peacock today!
Yes – I’m quite excited. I haven’t seen one for many years.
What really makes me proud is that I was on my way to an appointment. Fearing I’d be late, my foot got heavier and my speedometer increased and I felt myself becoming anxious.
Luckily, because I already have a ticket on my desk at home, I pulled back and decided to keep within the speed limit.
And that’s when I saw it!
Of course being the analytical air sign that I am, I looked up the meaning of a peacock. And…

I wrote this song for my husband many years ago. He was struggling with inner demons and it just was like a balm and helped him to break free and move forward.
I have performed it live many times and every time people come up to me and say how much it ministered to their spirits.
I have had two women independently come to me at the same event, the first time I played it publicly, to tell me it would be played on the radio.
I just wanted to share it with you all as after many years and many at…

So often I hear “After all, we’re only human” or “That’s fine, you’re just human.”
You’ve probably said it yourself as a placating remark to console the “human” you’re talking to at the time.
But what are you really saying?
Is this a sense somehow of forgiving others (and yourself!) for being human? (i.e. for being yourself?)
Surely this is not necessary?
Therefore, do these words reflect an underlying belief that Jane’s (for example) behaviour is not really acceptable, but rather understandab…

As I greeted a client the other day and watched her walk to her car, I marvelled at her transformation since our first session – and also at the results she was experiencing in her life. This led me to reflect on coaching and its effects. With just as many types of coaching there are out there – there are types of results (if not more!)
The coaching world is sometimes centred around concepts such as:
• “Chase your dream”
• “Manifest wealth”
• “Follow your passion”
Which has been a spectacular…

It's been awhile and I just wanted to touch base with all of you. I am still very happy with the VOTRE VU biz. Love, love the products! But as I am slowly learning and hopefully getting wiser with this industry (internet marketing) I have come to realize that it would smart of me to create more than one stream of income.
In my search to continue to learn, I found this site:http://www.my-cash-empire.com/cgi-bin/acc/mce.cgi/raqmar
The tools and downloads I can certainly use for myself and make a…

What is the saying "The eyes are the windows to one's soul" (I hope I got that right). Regardless, I like to believe there is some truth to that.
Nowadays, we seem to have less and less physical contact with one another. With correspondense so readily available through our computers, emails, teleconferences ect... I miss the eye to eye contact I was raised on. I was taught, when speaking with someone you must make eye contact, out of respect to the to the one you are speaking with. I still beli…

Friday, I had posted on the importance of cleansing the first part of the basics for healthy skin. Today I wanted to follow up with toning and moisturizing. I know these steps seem pretty routine, but you would be surprised how many of us don't even do the basics. So lets begin...
What is a toner? A toner is a water based liquid designed to hydrate and lower the pH of the skin. Toners are intended to tone or prepare the skin. Toners reacidify the skin and prepare the skin for the moisturizer. T…

The other day I received an email from my new upline suggesting I listen to this audio that was recorded from a teleseminar I had missed. Since I am new to this company, I am eager to learn as much as possible. So I set some time aside to listen. The time was well worth it.
It wasn't that I hadn't heard some of the information before, it was that I was in a position to take notice and really hear what was being said. Maybe that's due to the fact I can now apply it to something I am passionate a…

Yesterday I attended a personal development seminar. It was the usual stuff...DISC personality types, vision statements, blind walks, discovering your purpose and passion etc. There was the usual hype - what do we want? Success...Whose success? Mine...What will we give? 200% Yes! There was dancing and team chanting, questions and answers, video clips and the opportunity to name your fear and smash through a piece of board with your bare hands.
By the time the board came around, everyone was on…

Yesterday we had our first event for 2009 and the group of women that came together at my house to discuss the future of Women Can and what they wanted to see us do this year, provided us with a solid platform from which to build. Of those gathered, a new committee has been formed. The new committee members are:
June Kelly
Jennifer Crossland
Janine Felt
Hayley Solich
and two others have volunteered for service once their applications have been processed.
The plan for 2009 is:
1. To continue…

Travelling alone can be daunting - in fact the very thought of perhaps not talking to anyone for a week or two can be scary!! Granted, some solitude can be beneficial, especially as you get the chance to do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it, without exception.
I took off on a solo trip to South East Asia last year for 2 months and I can honestly say that whilst I was excited, I was also concerned about being alone for extended periods and perhaps withdrawing socially. I eventually…

A friend asked me to put together a website for her holiday accommodation. It's fabulous, by the way, and I had great fun taking photos of the site.

Suffice to say, I have put the website together and I got so much joy out of the project that I just thought I'd mention it to all you…

Yesterday I went for a walk with five girls from Adventurous Women. We walked from Hillarys Boat Harbour to Burns Beach, then had breakfast at the cafe.
Having not done anything like this since I was a young woman, it was a bit of a marathon taking us 2.5 hours! We didn't dawdle either, we went flat out, with…
